About Me

I took a photography class as an elective in my sophomore year in high school and really enjoyed it. That’s when I decided I wanted to become a professional photographer. Then, once I took all the photo classes my school had available, I took photo classes at the local community college that counted for my high school graduation requirements. I’ve done some volunteer photography work, and in January 2008, I began studying photography as an intern for Peter Dokus at The L.A. Lofts in Hollywood, CA. Through The Lofts, I’ve been hired to work for several commercial photographers.

Shortly following my internship at The LA Lofts I began to work with a wedding photographer out of Newport Beach Scott A Nelson. Started off as an assistant (like always).  Now I am an Associate Photographer working as a second camera as well as shooting my own weddings.

I have started to branch out as much as possible working for other wedding photographers, building up my name so that I do not have to rely on being an associate. In my eyes it’s a slow process, but before I know it I shall be where I want to be!

Please see my resume page for details and links.

I’m always looking for opportunities to learn from different photographers: commercial, wedding, high fashion, sports, portrait, etc., so if you need an assistant, a tech, or a second camera at your next shoot, please contact me by email at fix.jared@yahoo.com or by phone (949) 280-1460.

I live in South Orange County, but I’m willing to travel.
